AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
One of the Hornets' most dependable relievers, recorded a 3.24 ERA and 1-0 record in 17 appearances with one start...gave up 15 runs (12 earned) on 27 hits in 33.1 innings pitched with 10 strikeouts and 16 walks...held opponents to a .231 batting average...allowed just one run on three hits with two strikeouts in his lone start of the season against Minnesota...longest outing of the year came at Seattle, where he allowed just one hit and no runs in 6.2 innings of relief with three strikeouts and two walks...nine of his 16 relief appearances were scoreless.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played baseball for head coach Jeff Wise at Center HS of the Capital Valley League...hit .476 with 34 runs and 15 RBIs as a senior in 2009...named all-Capital Valley after senior season...posted a .458 batting average with 28 runs and seven RBIs as a junior...also a submarine right-handed pitcher.

Born Dec. 20, 1990 to Travis and Rebecca Lukes in Antelope, Calif....after graduating from high school, did not play baseball in 2009-10.
