PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Played two seasons at Yavapai College in Prescott, Ariz. for coach Sky Smeltzer and the Roughriders...went 7-0 with a 2.61 ERA as a sophomore...struck out 52 batters in 62 innings...posted a 4-2 mark as a sophomore...appeared in 13 games out of the bullpen...struck out 32 batters in 30 innings.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2007 graduate of Imperial HS in Imperial, Calif...four year letterwinner for coach Richard Diaz...went 6-5 as a senior, posting a 1.61 ERA...struck out 107 batters in 74 innings pitched...was named Imperial Valley League pitcher of the year and second team all-section...earned first team all-section honors as a junior after striking out 73 batters in 60.1 innings...was also named Imperial Valley League pitcher of the year and player of the year by the Imperial Valley Press.
