FOOTBALL (2006)
A senior in eligibility on the football team, Lively finished his career earning all-Big Sky Conference honors for the third consecutive year...ranked third in the league and eighth nationally with an average of 43.5 yards per punt...his most impressive performance came at the Causeway Classic where he averaged 62.5 yards per punt, including a career-long 67-yarder...during the year, he had 18 punts over 50 yards and placed 12 inside the 20-yard line with only three touchbacks.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2006)
Tied for the staff lead with 22 appearances, at the beginning of the year was used the majority of the time in relief, but midway through the season was called upon to enter the starting rotation...finished the year with a 7.42 ERA and an 0-6 record making seven starts on the year...pitched a career-best 8.1 winnings at Nevada on May 13, holding the Wolf Pack to four runs on nine hits...in that game allowed two runs in the first two innings, before holding Nevada scoreless his next seven innings on the mound...recorded a season-high six strikeouts against Nevada on March 31.
2005 (REDSHIRT SEASON)
Sat out the baseball season as a redshirt...during the 2005 football season, he was named all-Big Sky honorable mention, averaging 39.5 yards per punt...had 17 fall inside the opponents’ 20-yard line...longest punt of the year was 64 yards...in 2004, also received conference honors after averaging 40.8 yards per punt and totaling 13 punts longer than 50 yards...also had 11 punts inside the opponents’ 20-yard line.
AS A FRESHMAN (2004)
Made 14 appearances on the mound and pitched a total of 20.0 innings...finished the year with a 4.95 ERA...had one of his best outings against UC Riverside on Feb. 29, pitching 4.1 innings and holding the Highlanders scoreless on three hits.
HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Lassen HS in 2003...played, football, basketball and baseball...was a pitcher and outfielder for the Grizzlies...led the squad to a West Side League championship in 2001...hurled a four-hit shutout to clinch the title...named first team all-WSL and all-section as a senior...in football, he helped lead the Grizzlies to a pair of section titles in 2002 and 2003...named first team all-WSL and league MVP as a senior.
