PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Played in 2005 and 2006 for head coach Damian Nielinger at Santa Rosa JC...the team’s starting catcher, he helped lead Santa Rosa to the California State championships in 2005 and the Elite 8 in 2006...was named first team all-Big 7 after batting .272 with 47 hits, 21 RBIs, nine doubles and four home runs...helped Santa Rosa to a 29-15 overall record and 15-9 league finish.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2003 graduate of Ukiah HS...was a three-sport athlete, playing baseball, football and hockey...in his four years playing for head coach Dennis Busse, he was named Defensive Player of the Year as a catcher in 2002 and 2003...his senior season, the Wildcats won the North Bay League championship, setting a school record with a 23-5 record...threw out 75 percent of base runners in that year...was also named all-state and team MVP in hockey.
