AS A JUNIOR (2006)
The Hornets’ everyday rightfielder...played in 52 games and made 47 starts...hit .258 on the year and tied for the team lead with 28 RBIs...totaled 41 hits, 27 runs, 21 walks, six home runs and five doubles...recorded 10 multiple-hit games with seven multiple-RBI games...started off the season with a 10-game hitting streak lasting from Feb. 4-21, the second longest stretch of any Hornet player...produced three three-RBI games during the year...in a 12-11 loss to Fresno State on March 26, batted 2-for-4 with three runs scored, three RBIs, one double and one home run...during Sacramento State’s 11-10 extra-inning victory over Louisiana Tech on April 22, went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBIs and a double...his final home run of the season came against Louisiana Tech at the WAC tournament...got the Hornets on the scoreboard first with a solo shot, finishing the game 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Played two seasons at Saddleback JC in Mission Viejo, Calif...his sophomore year, despite being injured, hit .250 for the Gauchos, who finished the season 20-14...totaled 31 hits, 28 RBIs, nine doubles and six home runs...during his two years with Saddleback, he hit 16 home runs, placing in the Gauchos all-time top eight...as a freshman in 2004, he hit .350 with 10 home runs, helping lead Saddleback to the 2004 California State Championship...during the summer of 2005, he played for the Melville Millionaires of the Western Major baseball league in Saskatchwan, Canada...in 50 games (170 at-bats), he hit .330 with seven home runs.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2003 graduate of Glendora HS...he played four years of baseball ...his junior and senior seasons, he helped the Tartans to the Sierra League Championship...also received all-Sierra League honors his senior season...played two years of linebacker for the Glendora football team...was also a four-year member of the honor roll.

PERSONAL
Born May 4, 1985...parents are John and Maria Dye...major is communication studies...would like to work in public relations after graduation.
