PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE:
Played two seasons (2005 & 2006) at Modesto JC for head coach Bo Aiello...a second team all-Central Valley Conference selection in 2006, Boyd batted .308 with a team-leading 53 RBIs, adding 52 hits, nine doubles, one triple, and 23 walks...helped lead the Pirates to a 30-11 overall record and first-place 21-7 league record in the CVC...advanced to the second round of the playoffs...in one of his best performances of 2005, finished 4-for-4 with a double, triple, and two RBIs against West Hills CC.

HIGH SCHOOL:
A 2003 graduate of Los Banos HS...played four years of baseball for Bob Montano...also played football for two seasons.


PERSONAL:
Born Feb. 10, 1985...parents are David and Nickola Boyd...major is communication studies...would like to become a teacher and coach in the future.
