AS A FRESHMAN (2008)
Collected a 1-1 record out of the Hornet bullpen in 13 appearances...missed middle portion of season due to injury...posted an ERA of 6.16 in 19 innings of work, striking out 13 while walking 11...earned first career win on May 16 in the Hornets’ 9-8 come from behind victory over eventual College World Series champion Fresno State...threw 3.2 innings of hitless ball against San Jose State on March 13, striking out three.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2007 graduate of Claremont HS in Claremont, Calif...earned second team all-Baseline League honors during his senior season after posting a record of 6-4...struck out 43 batters in 44 innings pitched...threw a  two-hit shutout against rival Upland HS during his senior year...led his team in 2006 to the section semifinals...was 7-2 with a 2.62 ERA in 40 innings...did not allow a triple or home run during the season...walked just 15 batters while striking out 26...received the team’s academic award as well as the Pitcher of the Year award following his senior season.
