AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)
Went 5-4 as a sophomore with a 5.49 ERA...made 14 appearances with all but one coming in a starting role...finished second on the team in innings pitched with 77...also finished second on the team in strikeouts with 56...combined with Brian Filice to shutout on Cornell on March 20...scattered five hits over 7.1 innings, striking out five without surrendering a walk...struck out a career-high eight batters in seven innings against Menlo on March 29...posted a three-game stretch during the season where he allowed just one run and 11 hits over 17.1 innings pitched while striking out 13.
AS A FRESHMAN (2008)
Made 16 appearances and three starts during his freshman campaign...posted an 0-2 record with two saves and a 9.23 ERA...one of five pitchers to combine for a shutout against eventual College World Series champion Fresno State on May 16...posted the save in that game, pitching the final two innings striking out three batters without surrendering a hit...posted first career save against Hawai’i on March 29...made two weekend and one Tuesday start...threw 26.1 innings, striking out 12 batters while walking 14.

A 2007 graduate of Tulare Western HS in Tulare, Calif...led team to East Yosemite League title during his senior year...posted a perfect 13-0 record in 2007 with a 1.00 ERA...recorded 102 strikeouts to just 28 walks in 84 innings pitched...had 10 complete games and three shutouts...was named MVP of the EYL his senior year, as well as Tulare County MVP...was a first team all-CIF Central Section selection...earned first team all-EYL honors during his junior season...also earned second team all-Tulare County honors...was the winning pitcher in 2005 of the Valley Championship game, sharing the field with former Hornet teammate Gabe Jacobo...also played football and basketball for the Mustangs...was the football team’s center from 2004-06, snapping the ball to Jacobo, the team’s quarterback, during his sophomore campaign.
