PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Played two seasons (2005 and ‘07) at Fullerton College in Fullerton, Calif...earned first team all-Orange Empire Conference honors in 2007 as a utility player...split time between pitcher and shortstop...during the season, went 5-for-6 with four doubles while striking out 14 batters in a seven inning win...was named Fullerton College Male Athlete of the Year...father Paul Abbott was the pitching coach during his final year at Fullerton.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2005 graduate of Troy HS in Fullerton, Calif...was 9-1 with 0.52 ERA his senior season, allowing just five earned runs in 68 innings pitched...led the Warriors to the Freeway League title...also hit .316 with four home runs and 18 RBI...earned Freeway League MVP honors while being named to the first team on both the Orange Country Register and Los Angeles Times all-area teams.

PERSONAL
Born Sept. 22, 1986...parents are Paul and Yvette Abbott...majoring in criminal justice...father Paul had an 11-year big league career with the Twins, Indians, Mariners and Royals before retiring in 2004...posted a 17-4 season with the Mariners in 2001.
