HIGH SCHOOL
A 2007 graduate of Tulare Western HS in Tulare, Calif...led team to East Yosemite League title during his senior year...posted a perfect 13-0 record in 2007 with a 1.00 ERA...recorded 102 strikeouts to just 28 walks in 84 innings pitched...had 10 complete games and three shutouts...was named MVP of the EYL his senior year, as well as Tulare County MVP...was a first team all-CIF Central Section selection...earned first team all-EYL honors during his junior season...also earned second team all-Tulare County honors...was the winning pitcher in 2005 of the Valley Championship game, sharing the field with Hornet teammate Gabe Jacobo...also played football and basketball for the Mustangs...was the football team’s center from 2004-06, snapping the ball to Jacobo, the team’s quarterback, during his sophomore campaign.
