HIGH SCHOOL
A 2006 graduate of Brighton HS in Tennessee... was a three-sport athlete for the Cardinals playing basketball, baseball and football...played shortstop for four seasons under head coach Brian Oswalt...helped lead Brighton to the District Tournament championship with a 33-19 record, batting .410 with a .544 on-base percentage, .619 slugging percentage, 38 hits, 26 RBIs, 22 stolen bases, 26 walks and three home runs...for his efforts, he was named all-district and earned the Silver Bat Award during both his junior and senior seasons...as a junior, he was named to the all-District Tournament team and won the Coaches Award as well as being named Offensive MVP...in football, he was named receiver of the year as a junior and to the all-region team as both a junior and senior...was also a Best of the West nominee...lists one of his greatest performances against crosstown rival Munford HS on senior night, scoring three touchdowns and one extra point.
