AS A JUNIOR (2007)
Immediately contributed to the Hornet pitching staff in his first season...made 16 appearances, all starts, which were the most of any Hornet pitcher...led the team in victories with five...pitched 78.1 innings, the third most on the team...threw a complete game shutout at Stanford on March 24 in one of the most memorable outings in recent Hornet history...spread out seven hits over nine scoreless innings at Sunken Diamond, walking two batters and stranding seven Cardinal on base...threw seven innings of shutout ball against New Mexico State at home on May 3...allowed just three singles in the contest while picking up the win.

PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE
Spent three years at Skyline CC, playing in 2004 and 2006 for head coach Dino Nomicos...as a freshman in 2004, made 17 appearances and 14 starts, pitching 94.0 innings with a 2.68 ERA, 9-2 record, one save and 77 strikeouts...received All-America honors as well as being named North Coast Conference Pitcher of the Year and MVP...led the Trojans to the Coast Conference championship with a 15-3 record...that year, threw three consecutive shutouts to start off league play...was the first freshman in program history to receive All-America honors and holds the program’s all-time record at 13-4...suffered a setback in 2005 and underwent Tommy John surgery...returned to the mound in 2006, going 4-2 with a 2.55 ERA and 38 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2003 graduate of Junipero Serra HS in San Mateo, Calif...played three years for head coach Pete Jensen...on the mound for two seasons, combined for an 18-2 record...both years was named West Catholic League  MVP and Pitcher of the Year...also earned all-county honors both seasons...as a junior went 10-0 in league play and threw a no-hitter.

Born Oct. 3, 1985...parents are Isidro and Evangelina Orozco...brother Jesse played baseball at Skyline CC from 2006-07...major is communication studies.
