BASEBALL ANNOUNCES JUNE 13 PROSPECT CAMP 5/16/2011 The Sacramento State baseball program will host a prospect camp on June 13 at John Smith Field. SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento State baseball team has announced a prospect camp on June 13 at John Smith Field. The camp is designed to provide players - ages 17-21 - with the opportunity to be instructed by and play in front of the Hornets' coaching staff. Student-athletes wishing to attend the prospect camp should register online HERE. The cost $125 and the camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees should bring a glove, bat, hat and spikes plus running shoes or turf shoes. Catchers must bring their own gear but batting helmets will be provided. Every camper in attendance will be given a shirt to be worn during camp. However, all campers must bring their own baseball pants. A maximum of 60 student-athletes will have to opportunity expand their baseball skills and benefit from a unique, competitive and challenging atmosphere in front of many college coaches.
