BASEBALL ANNOUNCES DETAILS FOR THIRD ANNUAL DIAMOND DINNER
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Keynote speakers Cal Boyes and Tim Wheeler, plus the hall of fame induction of former head coach John Smith, headline this year's third annual Sacramento State baseball Diamond Dinner, head coach Reggie Christiansen announced.
The Sacramento State baseball program will host the third annual Diamond Dinner on Jan. 25.
Boyes, a former Sacramento State baseball coach, football coach and athletics director will join Wheeler, a Sacramento State baseball standout who was the first round pick of the Colorado Rockies in the 2009 Major League Baseball draft, as keynote speakers. Christiansen will also preside over the induction of former long-time head coach John Smith into the program's hall of fame.
This year's Diamond Dinner will take place on Friday, Jan. 25, at the Folsom Community Center. Single tickets can be purchased for $65 each or a table of 10 can be bought for $500. Included in the ticket price is a five-course catered dinner plus beer and wine. Seats at the keynote speakers’ tables are also available at an additional cost.
Doors open for the event at 5:30 p.m. with a wide-range of silent auction items available for bidding before dinner at 7:15 p.m. A live auction will also be held.
