Craig Parry

Bio: Craig Parry is in his first season with the Hornets in 2013 and will serve as the team's volunteer assistant coach.

Parry saw time at catcher and in the outfield under head coach Reggie Christiansen when the current Hornets' head man coached at South Dakota State from 2005-08. Parry was a standout with the Jackrabbits and was taken in the 50th round of the 2008 MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. He spent two seasons in minor league baseball.

As a senior at South Dakota State in 2008, Parry started all 49 games and hit .338 in 195 at-bats with 42 runs, 47 RBIs, 20 doubles, five triples and 10 home runs. He started 46 games as a junior and hit .329 with 32 RBIs, 14 doubles, three triples and seven home runs.

Before playing at South Dakota State, Parry attended Miles City (Mont.) Community college after graduating from Colstrip HS in Colstrip, Mont.
