Trevor Paine Title: Baseball Operations Experience: First Season Alma Mater: Sacramento State, 2012 Bio: Trevor Paine is in his first season on the coaching staff at Sacramento State and will serve as the director of baseball operations. The former Hornet played his final season in green and gold in 2012, when he was a second team all-Western Athletic Conference and academic all-WAC selection. He hit .308 in 182 at-bats overall on the season with 23 runs, 13 doubles, three home runs and 32 RBIs. Due to injury, Paine made a successful move from pitcher to hitter in 2010, prior to his junior season, after missing most of his 2009 season with an elbow injury. The transition was a smooth one, as Paine hit a team-best .381 on the season with a team-high 10 home runs, 107 total bases and 44 RBIs. He also posted 30 runs and struck out just 13 times while drawing 20 walks in 176 at-bats. Paine tallied three four-RBI games in 2010, all against WAC opponents. Paine is a 2007 graduate of Jesuit HS and was MVP of the Delta River League his senior season. He went 3-2 with a 1.06 ERA that year while hitting .430 with three home runs and 18 RBIs.
