CORRIGAN SETS SCHOOL RECORD IN BIG SKY PENTATHLON
Kassandra Corrigan set the Sacramento State school record en route to finishing second in the pentathlon and Elizabeth Venzon placed third during the first day of the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championships on Thursday at Northern Arizona.

GYMNASTICS TRAVELS ACROSS CAUSEWAY FOR FOUR-TEAM MEET
The Sacramento State gymnastics team will continue its stretch of four-team road meets when it heads across the Causeway to compete at UC Davis on Friday night at 7 p.m. The meet will also include 24th-ranked Central Michigan and No. 27 Iowa.

BASEBALL SERIES AT #5 TEXAS TECH RESCHEDULED FOR THE WEEKEND
Texas Tech and Sacramento State have rescheduled the remaining three games of their series for this weekend at Rip Griffin Park with a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game Sunday. Texas Tech took the first game of the series with a 4-3 win Wednesday night.

#5 TEXAS TECH RALLIES IN NINTH INNING TO TOP BASEBALL 4-3
Sacramento State took a 3-1 lead into the ninth inning and was one out away from victory before Cory Raley doubled home two runs and scored on an ensuing single from Tyler Neslony to rally #5 Texas Tech to a 4-3 win in the first of a four-game series Wednesday night.

After an eight-game homestand to begin the season Sacramento State (6-2) opens its road schedule facing one of the toughest teams in the country, 2014 College World Series participant Texas Tech (8-1). The Red Raiders are ranked in the top-25 in all of the national polls and enter the week ranked No. 5 in the nation by Baseball America.

Sacramento State overcame an early deficit by winning five of the six singles matches to beat Portland State, 5-2, on Sunday at Club Green Meadows.

BASEBALL OUTLASTED BY PORTLAND IN PITCHERS DUEL, 2-0
In a game that was scoreless into the ninth inning Portland second baseman Kevin Farley came through with a 2-out, 2-run single in the top of the ninth and pitcher Davis Tominaga finished a complete game shutout to give the Pilots a 2-0 win over the Hornets in the finale of a four-game series.

On a festive Senior Night that included numerous standing ovations from another sellout crowd, Sacramento State moved into a tie for first place in the Big Sky Conference after beating North Dakota, 74-66.

GYMNASTICS SCORES 194.150 AT UCLA QUAD MEET
The Sacramento State gymnastics team scored 194.150 — its best score in nearly a month — and finished in third place in a four-team meet hosted by UCLA on Saturday. The No. 9 Bruins finished first with a total of 197.050 to upset No. 7 Nebraska (196.650). Bridgeport was fourth with a total of 192.575.

BASEBALL SWEEPS DOUBLEHEADER WITH PORTLAND, 7-2 AND 12-2
The Sacramento State baseball team extended its winning streak to a six consecutive games with a pair of convincing wins over Portland on Saturday at John Smith Field. The Hornets battled for a 7-2 win in game one before using three home runs to roll to a 12-2 win in the nightcap.

Sacramento State had a huge first half and led by as many as 19 points early in the second half and the Hornets were able to fend off a late push by North Dakota to finish a 64-62 win on Saturday in Grand Forks.
