Sacramento State's Courteney Ng was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Newcomer of the Week, it was announced today. The honor is the first for Ng during her career.

The Sacramento State women’s team improved to 3-0 this season with its second road win of the year, defeating No. 74 UC Irvine 5-2 on Saturday in Irvine.

BURGOS MATCHES 3-POINT RECORD IN WOMEN’S HOOPS LOSS AT MONTANA STATE
Sacramento State junior guard Brianna Burgos tied the program record with nine made 3-pointers and scored a career-high 34 points but the Hornets lost a nine point third quarter lead as Montana State recorded a 116-99 victory on Saturday in Bozeman.

GYMNASTICS SCORES 194.300 IN WIN OVER SEATTLE PACIFIC
Lauren Rice tied her career high on floor and finished first on vault, bars and beam to help the Sacramento State gymnastics team to a 194.300-193.050 victory over Seattle Pacific on Friday night at The Nest. Rice totaled 39.225 after scoring 9.825 on both vault and bars, 9.850 on beam and 9.725 on floor.

MSU QUAD SERVES AS BIG SKY INDOOR TRACK PREVIEW
After a week off for most of the squad, the Sacramento State track and field teams will return to action in Bozeman, Mont., on Friday for a four-team meet at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. Along with host Montana State and the Hornets, the meet will feature Montana and Eastern Washington.
