Jared Nessland was hired as Sacramento State's head strength and conditioning coach prior to the 2011-12 year. He came to Sacramento State after serving as the head strength and conditioning coach at Southern Illinois from 2008-11. Nessland, a 1999 graduate of Montana State, also served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Montana (2006-07) and North Dakota (2002-06). In addition, he was an assistant at Nebraska (2002) and North Dakota (2001-02). He began his career as a student intern at Montana State 1998. A native of Havre, Mont., Nessland was a three-year letterwinner and academic all-conference selection for the track and field team at Montana State where he competed in the shotput, hammer and weight throw. He was also a competitive weight lifter, earning fifth place at the 1999 Collegiate National Championships in the 105 kg class.

Tom DiStasio is his fifth season at Sacramento State after working as a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois University (2010-11) and a student intern at Cornell University (2009-10). He earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell in 2010, where he played football for the Big Red (2006-09). After that, he went on to earn his master's degree in exercise science at Southern Illinois. DiStasio also coaches in Olympic style weight lifting, and is the son of Marty and Ernestine. He also has one brother, Marcello.

Amanda Sheppard will begin her first season at Sacramento State during the 2015-16 academic year. Sheppard obtained both her master's and bachelor's degrees (kinesiology) from Northern Illinois, including a master's emphasis in exercise physiology and fitness leadership. She was a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Northern Illinois from 2013-15 where she conducted the daily oversight and management of various Olympic sports programs. A four-year starter for the softball team at Northern Illinois (2010-13), Sheppard started all 111 of the Huskies' games during her final two seasons with the program, and hit .297 during her senior year.
