The Sacramento State Athletics Center has a new addition as the
Heritage Room was completed earlier this month.
The Heritage Room, which was generously funded by the Bob Mattos family and Steve and Ginny Patterson, is located on the second floor of the Athletics Center.
The Heritage Room was designed and built as a high-end location for coaches to visit with recruits and their families in a comfortable setting.
“We had a vision for creating a room that our coaches could use to recruit quality young men and women to Sacramento State athletics,” Director of Athletics Dr. Terry Wanless said. “We believe we’ve fulfilled that vision with the addition of the Heritage Room.”
In the last few months, Sacramento State athletics has made a series of upgrades to its facilities, which includes brand new locker rooms for both the women's basketball and gymnastics teams. Among the amenities in the locker rooms include brand new lockers made from maple wood with a cherry finish for the women's basketball team, and the gymnastics lockers were made from cherry wood with a straight front design.
