ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sacramento State cheerleading squad finished second in the small coed Div. I competition at the 2010 UCA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championships at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Fla.

The Hornets ended the competition just behind national champion Hofstra, who won the title for the second consecutive season. Sacramento State, who placed second for the second straight year, finished ahead of eight other schools in the division, including Oklahoma, Villanova and New Mexico.

Squads were judged on crowd leading ability, practicality of skills and overall cheer impression.

Sacramento State has now placed in the top five nationally eight times in the past nine years at the UCA Championships.
