The women's track and field team has been named the Sacramento State Team of the Year. The Hornet women cruised past the competition, winning both the Big Sky Conference indoor and outdoor championships. Sacramento State swept the Big Sky titles with relative ease, finishing 21 points ahead of the closest team at the indoor meet before winning the outdoor title by 28 points. The women recorded 18 marks which finished among the top 10 in school indoor history, and added 20 more top 10 marks during the outdoor campaign. The outdoor championship was the Hornets' eighth in the last 12 years, while the indoor title was the seventh for the program in the last 12 seasons.
Baseball - Sacramento State won its third Western Athletic Conference Tournament championship over the last six seasons. In the process, the team put together its second 40-win season since 2014, and won an NCAA Regional game against 19th-ranked UC Santa Barbara. The Hornets had an 11-game winning streak in the middle of the season and won seven consecutive postseason elimination games spanning the WAC Tournament and NCAA Regionals. The Hornets are the only Div. I program in California with 30 wins each of the last eight seasons.
Women's Golf - Sacramento State claimed its second Big Sky Conference championship in the last three years and did so in dominating fashion.
