SAVANNA CORR RECIPIENT OF SACRAMENTO STATE'S FEMALE INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR

Softball's Savanna Corr has been awarded Sacramento State's Female Individual Performance of the Year. The Chino Hills, Calif., native threw the second perfect game in the softball program's Div. I era (1990-pres.) in a 7-0 win over Fairleigh Dickinson on March 10. Corr retired all 21 batters she faced, and needed just 89 pitches while striking out eight. The effort was part of a stretch that saw Corr retire 27 consecutive batters, which included four shutout innings vs. Pacific on the same day she threw the perfect game. The fourth-year senior also threw a no-hitter in a Big Sky Tournament win over Idaho State, becoming just the sixth Hornet to throw multiple no-hitters in a season during the Div. I era.
