  • SACRAMENTO STATE AWARDED NCAA INNOVATIONS IN RESEARCH AND PRACTICE GRANT

    Sacramento State was awarded a $12,500 grant through the NCAA Innovations in Research and Practice Grant Program, designed to enhance college athletes’ psychosocial well-being and mental health. The grant was written by Director of Student-Athlete Development and Success Bethany Crouch and Nursing Professor, Dr. Joyce Mikal-Flynn, Ed.D., FNP.
  • HORNET STUDENT-ATHLETES RECORD NINTH CONSECUTIVE SEMESTER ABOVE 3.0 GPA

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento State student-athletes extended their streak of achieving a grade point average of at least 3.000 to nine consecutive semesters with their performance during the fall 2018 semester. The student-athletes also recorded a term grade point average above 3.000 for the seventh consecutive semester.
  • HORNET STUDENT-ATHLETES EARN 43 CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento State student-athletes in six fall sports have combined to receive 43 academic all-conference honors. The Hornets earned 37 Big Sky all-academic awards in football, volleyball, women's soccer, and men's and women's cross country while the men's soccer team had six players named Big West all-academic.

  • MARK ORR NAMED TO FCS ATHLETICS DIRECTORS ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

    Sacramento State Director of Athletics Mark Orr was named to the the Division I Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association (FCS ADA) Executive Committee for the 2018-19 academic year. Orr will serve as the representative of the Big Sky Conference.
